Both these qualifications have been designed for people with a Bachelor's degree in a field relating to information technology, or equivalent skills and knowledge through appropriate work or professional experience.

Programme outlines

Gain internationally recognised skills and knowledge in the area of Information and Communications Technology. These programmes, delivered at Whitireia's Wellington campus, are designed to meet specific needs as identifed by local industry.

Postgraduate Certificate in ICT (17 weeks):

Enhance your existing skills while studying part-time.
PGCertICT comprises two compulsory courses:

  • IT8x01 Research in Information Technology; and
  • IT8x24 Internship - industry experience through your current employment.
Plus one elective course, choose from either:
  • IT8x20 Special Topic in Front End Development; or
  • IT8x23 Special Topic in Quality Assurance and Testing Automation.

Postgraduate Diploma in ICT (1 year):

Learn to work effectively in multicultural teams and exercise leadership as required, engaging in rigorous intellectual analysis, critique and problem-solving. Choose hands-on learning relevant to your career from a range of options including:
